Changing heat pump to heat strip
Has anyone changed a roof air heat pump to a heat strip?

Here is what Coleman has to say about their A/C with a heat strip .

It says 5600 BTUs of heat, thats 5100 more than the 500 mentioned earlier .
5600 BTUs no matter how cold it is
Now with my limited knowledge I believe a heat pump works by collecting heat
from outside and transfering it inside .
So less heat outside less heat inside .
Can it really be that simple ?
