On my 27' class C, the filler cap is all the way at the rear, but the filler hose then goes forward almost level to just behind the rear axle where it finally dumps into the tank. If I am nose high AT ALL, I cannot fill. However, last year, it suddenly started giving me problems even when level. Turns out that the vent line had come loose from it's "mounts" and was hanging so that the middle section was lower than the fuel filler line. That was the problem; any fuel in that vent line would block it and not allow the tank to vent as I was fueling.
Reattached the vent line above the larger fill line, and all was good, although I still can't fuel if I'm nose-high. I have had to get out my leveling blocks and raise the left rear corner a few times in order to fill depending on the station's layout.
