Clam shell tents

I have an awning on my RV but it provides no protection from insects. I live in Florida and so much of my camping will be in the south. Who uses a clamshell tent for the purpose of getting away from insects and using it for a dining and Lounge area? My camping will be two people only. Any other alternatives?

    We use an Ozark Trail Tent 13 x 9 - Instant Tent , 4 seasons no leaks. Bought at Walmart. approx. $100
    we fit 2 lounge chairs and a 5 ft folding table inside.
    I can set it up by myself in a few minutes. It pops up with the poles in place like umbrella. You can see how it sets up on youtube.
