Some motor homes are so heavy that they require the entire 80 psi while others require less psi.
This is an important point. Just because a tire has a "E" rating or whatever, it only achieves that rating if you are able to pump it up to the pressure needed to support that rating.
The rims on my 1990 Winnebago Warrior Class C only are rated to 65 PSI - it's stamped as a max on the rim. So even though I have Cooper SRM II Radial LT Class E tires on it, they are de-rated due to the 65 PSI limit of my rims.
It's cheap and easy to stop at a truck stop and use their scales to get front and rear axle weights. Do this when you are fully loaded with water and fuel and all your camping gear.
