Ron Dittmer quotes "There are people who are "Brand" followers. I say that's works for them and the company they endorse. But as for me, when it's time to buy new tires for our motor home, I'm buying those half price Sumitomo load range "E" M&S tires because I agree with what DrewE said."

Are you referring to the Sumitomo Encounter HT 225/75x16E ?
TIA
Yes I am.
For the sake of the RV forum....
CLICK HERE to see the Sumitomo Encounter HT, highway, all season tire.
CLICK HERE to see the Michelin LTX M/S2, highway, all season tire.
I see these are currently being discounted. Usually when this happens, the tires are old stock with older manufacturing date codes. You can call Tire Rack about new stock, new date code tires, but expect to pay more.
CLICK HERE to see all 34 choices of load rage E tires of this size, sold at Tire Rack. You can click in the upper-right corner on the "Compare" button of each tire you are interested in to easily compare their specs to each other.
The Sumitomo is a "T" rated tire, made in Thailand. The Michelin is an "R" rated tire, made in the USA and Canada.
T = 118mph speed rating
R = 106mph speed rating
I can't imagine the difference in the speed rating is important because any motor home going near 106mph is absurd.
