I don't understand the rules, but they are what they are. Since the CG's do not charge by the foot (like marinas do for boats) you would think they would be OK with a smaller rig (less energy consumption for starters). However, in your case it appears you have three options, get a 30', convince your friends to move to another CG or make new friends. You are always welcome to stop by for a social with us, but it's currently a long cold trip to the N.E. Good luck.
