Velvet Ride= Torsilastic suspension. Not a sought after suspension. Parts no longer available. Ride not as good as either air or leaf spring (the rubber in the springs gets stiff with age and also settle-- so check ride height). - AidenJExplorerIt's a 2001 Safari Cheetah 3756 with a velvet ride suspension by
BF Goodrich(not sure what that is either), 300hp Cat/Allison.
Looking at possible upgrade and starting with floor plans that appeal to us for starters. - Blaster_ManExplorerWe have friends that own a Safari they bought new in 1994. Over 200k on the Cummins/Allison, still going strong.
