OK I'm sure this has been beaten to death... BUT as a 5th wheel owner just starting to look a getting a used 2006 - 2012 Class A. About 35 ft is a gas engine powerful? I see Ford V10 and Chevy V8 Is ...

I love our new gasser, Allegro 36LA, the floor plan to die for! Great driver with the new 6 speed tranny, sumo springs, and the insulation that Tiffin adds in under the dog house keeps things cooler and quieter than the Jayco that we drove for the last three years.
I am sure that a DP can be quieter, stronger, smoother...... But, for what we use it for, and towing a bass boat up hills, it sure seems fine to me. Plus gas is cheap right now, and we have thousands left over in the pocket too., so see what fits.
