- mike_brezExplorerI have ran Hankooks on my previous rv and are a great tire.
I’m running Samson’s now and will most likely get them again. - olfarmerExplorer III think most brand name tires are good. I did have a cheap set once that didn't wear very long, no trouble, just wore out pretty fast. Running Michelins right now with no problems.
- timmacExplorerI put Firestone FS561 on my motorhome and they ride real soft and smooth, mine are 19.5 however, they might have them in the 22's
- Branson_N_TucsoExplorer IIBeen running Toyo TIres for 6 years and had no issues.can't tell you on how many RV's are running with them. The price is right. The choice is yours and it's what ever you feel better with.
- Cincy_SteveExplorerCheck Zurcher Tire in Monroe, IN. Not certain about Toyo, but they carry several brands. They beat FMCA’s price on our new tires.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIIFirst the major differences (Which I'm sure the Original Poster has researched) are PRICE (way less) and tread life (Also less) the outside diamater (Which affects your speedometer) is within 1/2 of one percent as I recall (not significant about 1/4 mph at 50 Mph)
Half a dozen Mitchlins with FMCA discount 3500 plus install
Half a dozen Toyo at Belle Tire (Michigan tire dealer do not know if they go farther south) 2300 INSTALLED on site.
I got mine at Belle Tire but I do not know if they operate in the OP's state
They have shops all over MI some speclize in "Truck" tires and all have mobile Tire Folks
Last option is contact Toyo and ask "Where can I buy "em". reddragonpilot wrote:
I am wanting to replace my tires, size 275R7022.5 with Toyo tires. where would I find them in Indiana? Also, does anyone have any experience with Firestone MH tires?
We buy tires for our Tiffin Phaeton at Sam's Tirein Bristol. Not to be confused with Sam's Club. Small reputable dealer. We just bought a whole new set of MIchelins there in August (our second set from them). They accept the FMCA plan as well, saving about $50 per tire. I believe they sell the Toyo tire as well. We have friends who have those and swear by them. We have just always run Michelins and are very happy with them. Sam's may do Firestones as well, I am not certain.
Very efficient, good quality workmanship.
They are located on SR120 just east of town
You won't be disappointed with them. We go ahead of time and remind them we want newly produced tires, make an appointment, talk about how to do the FMCA discount thingy, then show up for the appointment
Dale.- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIYou mention Firestone so just wanted to add that they are very good as well.
- H___EExplorerI removed 6 year old Michelins that were cracked and replaced with Toyo. Very pleased. Be sure to check the date on the tires to insure you are not buying older units.
- reddragonpilotExplorerthanks for the input. i will see what i can find here in Indiana.
