Kind of a poor pic (gotta set the white balance, dummy! ;)), but here's the Tiger at Carolina Beach this past Tuesday afternoon. It's $20 to drive & camp on the beach for 24 hours, but no place to air down or pump up... the street just ends at the sand's edge, with an ATM-type ticket machine. It's be rip-off if it wasn't so unique. Yeah, I got more level for the night, and I paid $3.50 in quarters to air back up at a service station the next morning. High 70's, mid-60's at night.
Then here it is on Friday night, at an Astronomy Club of Asheville stargaze. The site is a private observatory NW of Asheville, at 4100'. Yep, that's snow on the lower right; overnight low was about 25 with a 5 mph breeze.
Jim, "I had a dream last night that I was eating a 10 lb marshmallow. I woke up this morning, and the pillow was gone."
