ScottD,
Our rig is 23'-8" end-to-end measured with a tape measure as well as per the specifications for that model and year. It is considered a reduced-size B+ marketed for improved mobility and driveability. The exterior width is only 93". Most conventional class Cs are about a foot wider and more than a foot taller.
When we were shopping for a rig, it absolutely had to fit in our garage and our rig just makes it as
SEEN HERE.
We had planned for a long term ownership of 35+ years with consideration for our latest years. 10 years so far and we are on-track. We had a short critical list. We really focused on the need for just the two of us, not for guests.
1) repeat- Must fit inside our garage
2) Must have a practical full-time dinette that could convert into a single bed when rarely needed
3) Must have a full time double bed on the main floor
We did not want to set up and tear down anything like we dealt with for 23 years with our previous motor home which was horrible. We never want to deal with that again
Everything else was important, but not critical. To our surprise, we got a lot more than hoped for with everything practical in the reduced size, no novelty features, nice size fridge, stove, sink, indoor & outdoor storage, decent capacity water & waste tanks & propane tank, generator, dry bathroom, two batteries, whole house inverter, etc, etc, etc. We did not want the optional slide out, primarily for 35+ trouble-free years, but there were other personal reasons to avoid one.
That was 10 years ago. We special ordered our Phoenix Cruiser to get it just right for us.
CLICK HERE to see many pictures of it. The only matter of concern for our latest years, is the limited access to the bed itself. We figure we'll just deal with it then.
