Looks like I'm down to just one manufacturer. I have not been out to any dealers yet to look in person yet. I wish there were another brand with a Floorplan that would work. I'll keep looking and see if any look promising.
Maybe not having a slide will be a good thing too. Less weight for the RV I assume, and less to go wrong. Something to consider for sure.
If the 2290/91 was available when we bought our 2300, I bet we would have wanted the extra floor space. Although, it’s more mental than practical. And the slide eliminates some storage places, I’m sure. We have the old style dinette rather than the U-dinette. We had a foam cushion company make wedge shaped back cushions, and bought some of the stock upholstery fabric from Forest River’s supplier. The cushion company sewed zippered covers for the wedges so they look stock. They made a night and day difference in sitting and lounging comfort. But they take away the bed conversion so it’s not for everybody.
I mention all that to say that with the basic dinette, there is a lot of interior cabinetry space. We are very happy with what we can carry, for the size.
Btw, there is a right amount of angle to make the wedges work right. I don’t have access to the camper this winter, but if someone wants to do it, I’ll dig through my emails etc to see if I can find it.
