CLASS C DO YOU HAVE WINDOW AWNINGS?

Yep that is the question. Good afternoon all. I had the idea I wanted to get rid of my C and get an A. Thankfully I came to my senses. One of the A's I looked at awnings on all the windows. I thought HHHMMMMM, would be a good upgrade for my C? I was wondering how mahy C owners have window awnings. Do you think put them on the C is worth the expense? My meighbor has a 36' 5er, and he said with the tinted glass of his windows he didn't think that they needed awnings. The tint is really dark. I don't know if I want to look threw a dark tinted windoe. What are your thoughts? Pro and Cons?
Thanks
Bill

Call me timid but I like to hope the manufacturer had mounting points and I'm concerned my measurements would cause me to miss them and anchor only into that cheesy laminated wall.
I forget what they're called but now there are awnings that offer shade but can also be seen through a little. A mesh material, I suppose. That might be nice.

Window awnings mount very well into the laminted sides and they actually come with rivets as well so you can mount them on the aluminum sides with no problems.

I have put them on every unit we have owned, TT, FW & MH with no problems and do put them on the passenger side since we don't always open the big awning.

Carefree calls the material you are talking about "Full View". and that is what I have installed.
  • We had them on our class A. They cut down our view too much.
But did allow windows open in a light rain.

We had an awning on the large street side window on our first C, and it was nice. None on the curb/awning side, I suppose the premise being you'd put the patio awning out and shade that window with it. Current C came with only a patio awning. • i have them on all my windows and very happy with them. Prefer shaded windows to direct sun. Also keeps the unit feeling cooler.
