Weight issues was the prime deciding factor for me when choosing between the two class C's I was considering.
My Winnie off the line with full propane and gas gave me 2903 pounds of OCCC - 1000 pounds on the front axle and 1903 on the rear.
The other class C I was considering was 1653 pounds or so OCCC. And they couldn't give me the axle weights before it left the factory. Figuring the front axle easily had more of the available weight (and knowing I'd never come close to overloading the FRONT axle), I made my choice accordingly. I'm probably not far off figuring the rear axle on the rig had somewhere between 500-600 pounds available on it. Just poor.
I still try to pack all the heavy stuff in the middle to the front of the rig. I travel very lightly in the rear. I only carry about 1/4 - 1/3 of a tank of fresh water (stupid fresh water tanks are right on the back end of the rig; talk about a front axle weight unloader).
My Winnie doesn't have the Premium package which would have added ceramic sinks and toilets, Corian counters, upgraded flooring, etc. And I felt that was a good thing - all that glitz adds pounds and we only camp in the rig for 5-6 days max at a time w/ my kids. I'd rather feel safe going down the road and not sweat the weights than sit on a porcelain throne !
