If you are going to pull a Toad get a big block gasser like the Ford V-10 or Chevy V-8. The Mercedes makes a poor choice for towing.
It may be a poor choice for some, but with 20,000 miles and 8 trips over the Rockies, towing with the Mercedes Sprinter has worked out just fine for me.
