Class C roof damage

I am wondering what type of product the inside ceiling and walls are made of? As we pulled off the upholstery covered foam on the bunk, we noticed damage to whatever is used to support the bed and staining of the walls from the a/c to the front vent.

I want to pull off some more to see what the damage is there. Can someone explain to me what type of board here.

Hi all,

Thanks to all who have helped me with ideas and where to's. The man who will be fixing the roof want to use 8'.5' Res Pro EPDM rubber roofing. Has anyone used this or know of someone who has? What do you think about using this? If comes by the foot therefore there is less waste.

I am allergic to mold so to use it I would need to make sure that it's mold free. As far as keeping it, I would use it as long as I can or until I can find another smaller MH. I have no idea really so picked a couple of years at random.

Can you explain what the headliner is?

You say you want to keep it for several more years?

If it were me, I would consider the below.
1) new roof, old roof, does not matter on the resale, value much, your rig from your signature is worth a couple of grand tops. (94 horizon)
2) if it were me. I would have someone eterna bond or dicor the living heck out of the roof, to stop the leak
3) I would pull the headliner down give it chance to air out, hit it with some mold killer and call it good.
4) then I would continue to have fun with it and enjoy it.
5) mine is a 2001, if the roof goes south, or the fridge blows up, I will replace them. Because when I run the numbers I want to use it another 15 years, that changes the calculation you are looking at for a couple more years of use

Check the corners, inside and out, when the cabover bunk meets the main body of the RV.

Hi all,

I spent some time out inside the MH today looking for signs of water damage/mold using my flashlight and nose and sense to touch. There is damage up front in the bunk. That's right under the tear in the roof. I expected what I saw. As far as I see/feel is contained to the front area. I check in cupboards, underneath
storage ares and pulled up carpet at the front.

There is, however, a 4" step up to the living area from the front seats. Could there be damage under there?

Where else can I look?
