We did a lot of research before we decided on TT over a C. Here's why a TT works better for us:
1) Three kids - not a lot of Class C RVs with three bunks. We don't like having to convert the sofa or dinette for sleeping. And three rows of seats in the Burb allows the kids to spread out.
2) We LOVE to drive. Everywhere. We rarely stay at an RV park just to "hang out." For us the campground is never the destination, it's simply a place to sleep. Constantly breaking camp to drive around is a PITA.
3) My TV is a third vehicle. My daily driver is a sedan, and DW drives a minivan. The Suburban sits in the garage 6 days a week. My daughter took her road test in it, and drives it to school some days.
4) It's just as convenient (to us) to pull over, get into the trailer for lunch and potty breaks.
5) Hitching up is a breeze with a backup camera. No spotter required. And I have no issues backing in tight spaces with the TT.
6) I have to think a little further ahead while towing in regards to exit strategy from restaurants and gas stations. But it sure beats driving a bus around tight tourist areas like Yellowstone and Grand Canyon. Large rig on the highways (that are designed for 60'+ rigs), small rig at the tourist spots. Makes sense to me.
