To reach the front cap area I use a 10' stepladder on one side with another multi-purpose ladder set up as a stepladder on the other, then an adjustable length aluminum plank in between. If I recall the height correctly, the stepladders both have a step at 54", and the aluminum plank clears the hood by 1". The MH is also on 1.5" thick wood boards for load spreaders, so without those the clearance would be 2.5". The aluminum plank is 12" wide and is very stable with this setup.
The front cap is in good shape so I just use 303 Protectant on the decals and Meguiars #50 wax/cleaner on the fiberglass.
