Cleaning exterior

I'm back...new question. Is anybody using, or is there a good product for cleaning up or even getting rid of the streaks on the exterior paint. The previous owners washed the M/H but didn't clean it. If you know what I mean. Thanks.

  • It's a never ending job. We cleaned roof and entire motorhome including the black streaks (36') w/ slides, and did a wax job 1 month ago. We have traveled about 700 miles and it rained hard the other day -- guess what - black streaks again - Ugh -- We did notice that right at the end of the rain when everything is all wet, the black streaks will rub right off with a damp rag/sponge if you don't let them dry. We will be aiming for almost instant removal after rains from now on. Much easier.

We washed, used streak remover and rinsed. Let dry and waxed.
  • I very seldom use water to wash my coach. I dry wash it most of the time unless it has been through a storm and is full of mud. But if it is just dusty I use The Solution and it preserves your full body paint job with UV protection and at the same time it polishes the coach.

Now on the roof which is fiberglass, about every six months I get up there and I wash it real good with water and a mixture of Blue Coral wax. I just apply it with a mop and it will also protect the fiberglass from UV rays. The wax on the roof is more for protection of the sun then for shine.
  • the streaks are probable coming from the roof, so in till you clean the roof your going to keep getting the streaks, I have used a bucket of water and tide soap to clean the roof and black streak remover to clean the sides sold at camping world
