Cleaning outside

If you are mainly concerned with removing organic (bug) material, use hydrogen peroxide. It even comes in spray bottles some places.
Spray it on, let it sit for a minute and then wipe or wash off.

Regardless of what you use, be sure the surface is not HOT when you do it.
