Thanks folks, and thank you RV.net. I should have figured the pin was the answer. I saw it and tried to push on it! Didn't think to pull. Also knew MON-oxide means one not 2! And yes, the sticker says to replace by 2008, Only 6 years past due. lucky I didn't have a faulty furnace. Lesson learned, I better check the date on my smoke alarm. .....Doug
