3 issues, 1. the OP is only using American Coach as an example. 2. The company that owns American Coach has never been bankrupt, and what does it matter anyway, they stood by their products and still support all the past owners just like their new current owners and the BK has no bearing on the quality of the coach. 3. How did you answer the OPs question, you started to with the Escalade/Tahoe analogy.
Now to expand on that. You can get a loaded Tahoe or a loaded Escalade and both will perform the function you want in luxury and be equally reliable in the long run. The Escalade will have a bigger engine and magnetic ride control and a couple more bells and whistles and will be $5+ more and look more prestigious to your peers.
You just need to decide in a couple more bells and whistles and extra show off value are worth the $200K+ to YOU. For me I am more of a Tahoe guy.
