I'm on coach #7……and I can tell you that my experience tells me that most "shells" will never last as long as the diesel engine, trans and chassis components. Build quality is the big question and american has a reputation for well built motorhomes…that's why you see a bunch of older eagles, heritage and traditions on the road. I made a huge leap from a fiberglass coach to a bus. We could have bought a new Cornerstone, Heritage, Tradition ect. BUT after looking at Prevost chassis's we opted to go with an older Prevost vs. a new fiberglass coach. Many people in our club are driving 20+ year old coaches and they look and run extremely well. The other thing is no matter who the converter is the chassis is still a Prevost and designed to travel dependably over a million miles with good maintenance.
If you are looking for build quality and thinking of spending north of $500K I would strongly suggest you browse some older prevost coaches. In that price range you could easily find an '06 or '07 even an '08 depending on the converter.
