We have a 2007 Coachmen that we love. But we knew we were buying "entry level" and didn't expect perfection.
The only really weird issue that took some time to resolve had to do with how the chassis was lengthened and the drive shaft would scrape within this extension thing. Sorry that I can't be more specific, DH mostly dealt with it. Dealers/mechanics struggled to identify/fix it, and I think DH ultimately fixed it himself. We did pay for some shop time on that issue.
Otherwise, we had to tighten some water lines that dripped on our shakedown trip. And we find screws and sawdust whenever we open up an area (under drawers where the low point drains are, or recently removing a veneer panel to make a solar equipment cabinet). We also have screws loose rolling around in the dead space beneath the overhead cabinets (where the wiring is run for the lights above the couch). We solved this by putting a magnet under the cabinet - no more rolling.
So, one mechanical issue so far, and some lack of detail/cleanup work which we basically expected. We're still really happy with it!
