I do it myself at times with my TC. I have 45 gallons of fresh water and with both black and grey combined I can hold the entire contents of the fresh water. I am very good friends with two master plumbers, both agree there is nothing naughty about doing this. I don't always do this but don't hesitate to when needed. You will never know the difference if you plumbing is working correctly. One concern is if you would fill both completely then you could end up with black water coming into the shower drain. Besides that its all sewer water. The advantage of the two tanks is you can dump grey water free of black water when necessary. I know some places forbid this but, in a tight spot grey on the ground ain't nothing like Black on the ground. JMHO
