U.S. 2 does not go to Whitefish. Hwy 93 does, though.
The 93/2 junction is in Kalispell.
Other than that minor technicality, Bobgloria is absolutely right!
I have stayed at LaSalle RV park on U.S. 2 near Kalispell. It is close to the highway, so a little noisy, but it is a nice park, staffed by friendly people. There are a couple other parks in or near Kalispell, as well.
There are RV parks closer to the Park, in Hungry Horse, near Coram, and near West Glacier.
There are also a number of USFS campgrounds in the area. Many of them (if not most) are "Pack It In, Pack It Out" campgrounds, with no garbage service, vault toilets, no shower house, no dump station, and limited water availability.
