It's not only the length of a rig that determines sq. footage it's the number and depth of its slides. The few Class A's I've looked at tend to have fewer and shorter slides to provide space to move around inside when the MH is in transit and the slides retracted. A trailer does not have to leave this space, so it is common to find 3 or more 40" deep slides and even a lesser slide or two for storage space, greatly increasing the sq footage compared to an equal length MH with one or two 18-24" slides. But then again I haven't been in many new million dollar MHs lately as they are completely out of my range, having never made this much money in my entire 40 year management career. Why look at something you will never be able to afford?
