considering older coach...

Am looking at an ISC350 Cummins mated to a MD3060R trans on a 1999 Foretravel coach, and wonder if there have ben any special issues or problems I should be aware of... the coach has about 80k miles. The main concern is the engine /trans combination since those items can cost almost as much as the coach itself !!! (lol)
Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!
Tony

  • Yahoo group is on foreforums.com now and is twice as big and active as the old yahoo group.
  • I had that combo on my first Foretravel. It is a good set up. The exhaust manifold on the older 8.3 is one piece and will crack sometimes. I replaced mine on my 99 and they made a two piece and no more stretching and shrinking issues. I think of all my coaches that 99 was the most bullet proof. Go to foreforums.com and register there. There are plenty of people still buying them and using them and upgrading too . I have seen 91s that are being updated even. No big thing to say other then see if it has trans synd in the allusion. If not put it in. 80 k is just getting broken in. I have 155k on this unit and have friends with 276 and higher on their coaches. Send me a pm and give me the details on the coach and maybe I know it if not I bet someone on the forum does.
