I'm not sure it's the dealer refusing to lower the price. I don't know what percentage the dealer is getting from the sale, but let's say it's 7%.
7% on $45,000 is $3,150
7% on $42,500 is $2,975 - Only $175 less.
For that little of a difference in commission, I'd expect them to be happy to move it if they could so they could move onto another sale and quit showing this one. You can only sell a MH once.
If someone knows what a MH consignment dealer gets, I'd be curious to know.
