I bought my 30' Bounder new for $67,000 in 1996! I am guessing that the seller bought this well over the $45,000 they are asking, and consignment costs are probably 10% or so? SO they might be getting $40,000 out of the deal.
They might still have a loan on the RV in the $50,000 to $65,000 range, and need to pay that off as well. .. .
Good luck, it sounds like it is the right price according to Bluebook. If it was well taken care of, and clean, then it is priced correctly.
Remember that it is 7 years old, and the roof will be deteriorating soon, and you will need to coat it in about 3 years. That is not the 'problem' of the current owner, but something you will need to look at then.
I waited to long to coat my roof. I ended up using a EPDM coating that eliminated the white streaks down the side of the RV. But by the time I had applied it, the old roof was in really bad shape. Doing it a couple of years earlier (like when it was 10 years old, and not 14 years old) would have been a really good idea!
Fred.
Water leaks are a major concern to me. As they would be for anyone. I might even do that sooner than in 3 years. Is that a DIY type of job?
