I have to agree with the OP, RV's can be extremely expensive to own and operate. Of course some get lucky and dont have any serious expenses except voluntary upgrades and some are unlucky and either spend or loose a fortune. I always believed that airplanes and hotel rooms are for those whose vacations are the destination and RV's are for those whose vacations are the journey. If you just want to get someplace there are much cheaper and faster ways than driving or pulling 6 tons of extra vehicle.
