I cringe a little when I read a post about a young family buying an old motorhome, for cheap, that is in need of serious repairs and replacements and the new owner has few skills, time, workspace, and a small budget. We been there and done that. Best to take your time, learn as much as you can, save up and buy as new as you can for cash. Renting before buying may be a good idea to help you decide on length/floor plan and whether you both really want to actively participate in motorhoming .
