Cost of engine replacement or rebuild
I have a 2000 Airstream Land Yacht with a 7.4 Vortec motor with 90k miles on it. It runs perfectly and I have no reason to think it's going to need to be replaced anytime soon but should that day come...

The concern I see is the ancilliary stuff. Belts, hoses, water pump, radiator, computers, etc... failing.
Then you have stuff like wires becoming brittle and does it become a challenge to find faults.
Eventually, even though the main core of the engine is perfectly fine, is it more hassle than it's worth.
I agree, but by the time the truck parts get to be more hassle than worth much of the house will have passed that point.
