A stone chip which hasnt spread can be fixed probably for no charge to you as insurance would pay glass shop. If the chip has spread then a new windshield is likely necessary. I would check with your insurance company BEFORE getting it replaced. Make sure you get the proper windshield replacement which has any wires etc imbedded. Your insurance deductible, if any, should apply.
