My understanding is there is a rheostat (sp?) in the base of the assembly which sends a signal to the King cruise control box which controls the throttle response. On my '97 Dynasty there are two wires at the base of the pedal assembly which send the signal. My coach is in the shop now waiting for the cruise control box to be rebuilt because new units are no longer available. My coach had an intermittent throttle response issue, the cause of which was determined to be the cruise control box. I have discovered that it's actually a fairly common problem.
