His 350 ISC has the cummins CAPS system fuel injection pump, which is controlled by the ECU (Engine control unit) or as some call it ECM (Engine Control Module) engine mis-fires are normally caused by electrical problems in this system.
Fuel filters will cause a steady loss of power at higher power settings or in the worst cases a total shut down of the engine, as the ECU senses the loss of fuel pressure, it will give you an engine service light and shut down, then restart and run on the emergency settings but it will run no longer than 5 minutes before it shuts down.
