Have you thought of trying a freon refill kit? Available everywhere and most have a leak stop additive. It's an easy fix for minor leaks. Easy to use takes minutes, cost about $50.00

Ditto on that. Mine even has an old fashioned sight glass that makes knowing how much to put in easy. Just fill until the bubbles go away. With all of the plumbing required to go from the dash unit in the very front all the way back to the compressor in the back I expect this to be a recurring problem so I am just going to carry the refill kit from now on.
