This is the next thing we need to know. With the compressor turning, the low side line should be cold, or at least quite cool. That is the line coming out of the evaporator. The high side line from the compressor to the condenser should be HOT, like 200 degrees hot, so be careful when checking it. The line from the condenser to the evaporator should be ambient temp or just rather warm.
