Stuart, most Aqua Hot systems have a number of heat exchangers in various locations in the coach. Each exchanger has a fan or fans to move air off the little radiator in the exchanger. On my coach, the AH would run and heat water but I could not get my exchangers to circulate any air. I had a 20 amp fuse blown due to one of the exchanger fan motors seizing up. Once I located that motor and replaced it, I was back in business.
So, the question is when your T stat calls for heat, do you hear the fans in the exchangers running? If so, I agree with the others that the most likely culprit is stuck check valves. When you get the top off the unit, you will see the little zone pumps. They have a clear top so you can see the impellers spinning and actually hear them running. If they are running when they get the call for heat, feel the hoses coming off the top of the unit and see if they are warm. If not, bang on those brass check valves above the pumps.
I also agree if I was going to be anywhere near Roger Berke in AZ, I would get him to go over the unit. Or, get him to recommend someone.
