Let's face it: the RV industry in many instances is a collection of mom and pop operations and many of them have limited business and customer skills. I have purchased a few motorhomes new over the years and have never bought one from a local dealer. They simply didn't have what I wanted at the time. As to the warranty work, if it was minor I just did it myself and avoided the hassle of dealing with these guys. I actually enjoy working on my motorhomes and I realize most would not do that themselves, but I can do in an hour on most stuff what would require leaving at the dealer for a long period of time and listening to them whine. I had a micro convection oven latch break and called the factory, they sent me a new one and I installed it myself. They Fedexed the part and I had it in two days and repaired it in an hour, never leaving my house. If it is minor, just do it if you are handy at that sort of thing and consider it a cost against buying what you wanted at the price you wanted.
Also, as someone else stated, there are usually independent RV repair folks in most major cities that can do warranty work for most manufacturers.
The RV industry is where the car business was.......about 1970.
