Dealer says 260 Now says 315 cummins

I looked at a monaco, dealer said it had the 260, i said no thanks. Then they call
and say it has the 315. The owners manual in the coach says 315 8.3 liter isc, how do i know for sure ?

    As you face the front of the engine, there is a black and silver data plate affixed to the right side of the timing cover. It will be mounted sideways on the narrow side of the cover. It gives HP, Torque, eng # and other specific info.
