When I ran the body shop for a large Ford dealer in the course of the year I would get maybe 2-3 vehicles in from the service department that a tech had accidentally damaged. At first the service mgr would say hurry up and fix this before the customer finds out. Nope, call the owner show him what happened and then I will talk with them and explain how and what we are going to fix. I was not going to become part of the hide it game. After a few arguments with the service mgr he got the owners involved and we would get a signed repair order showing exactly what we are going to do and what we are not going to do. Never had a problem with the car owners once they got the whole story. Things happen in service departments with all the movement of vehicles, nobody wants to damage a persons car/truck or in your case motorhome. It is how it is handled after the fact that shows how well run a place actually is.
