Stephen,
I would say in general that it is true that length will limit you in State Parks, as here in California, there are length limits of about 35 ft. (if I'm mistaken). We prefer regular RV parks with Electric, Water and Sewer.
Our first coach was a 42ft. tag axle that we kept of 7.5 yrs. We recently took delivery of our second coach and moved up to 45 ft. The only time I have boondocked is in Quartzsite, AZ, for the Big Tent show in January of each year with my RV group (60+ RV's).
You will really need to decide on how you are going to use your 'new' or 'new to you' coach. We drove our previous coach all over the country putting on almost 70,000 miles. We plan on using the new coach about like we have with the other, traveling from RV park to RV park and touring around in our toad once we reach our destination.
