I have a 38 foot coach and have not been turned away because it was to big. I have found some campgrounds tighter than others. What you need to do is CALL THE CAMPGROUND before you try to go there. I don't try to camp in most national parks. Most are crowded and small spaces. That being said I was able to stay in the Grand Canyon rv park. Great place and the shuttle bus comes in and picks you up. I would never go on the road without a towed. This is the most important part of getting the most out of your travels. For example I drove the coach about 9000 miles this summer and my toad 11,000 miles and it doesn't record milage when being towed. Think of all the places I would have missed without the toad.
The message I am trying to impart is buy the coach you want you can find a place to park it then use your toad to explore.
I felt sorry for those people who had a rental and were trying to get around in some of the national parks. There are few places to park a car much less a 19-30 ft motorhome.
