Problem with Ford front sway bars 1992-2007 is they didn't use End Links like 1991 and older Fords, the Chevys and 2008 and newer Fords. They're mounted to the frame with bushings like Burl is replacing, but instead of End Links the ends poke into bushings in the axle. The geometry of that arrangement guarantees that the bushings will wear quickly and introduce looseness into the Sway Bar.
Aftermarket Sway Bars for those Fords clamp to the axles and provide for end links.
Here are a couple pictures of my 2007 E350 front aftermarket heavy duty Roadmaster bar with the clamp j-d mentions. The Fords from 2008 to today don't need a clamp. I guess the GM chassis does not need a clamp either.
