I sorta saw it as funny too. I wasn't even sure that I
was looking at an antisway bas, the tube was a
seriousreplica of the bushing. I sorta figured if it
worked for who knows how long w/ nothing
there...maybe the tube was an improvement. It may
have been a long while so outer link rods never got a
workout, but I think the clunk was noticed within last
few trips.
As our trips are fewer and shorter anymore, putting
optional add-ons is lesss important now.

Next test outing will be soon, as I am now gonna' be
getting a dealership to do the "Special Coverage
Adjustment - Steering Idle Arm Attaching Bracked
Fracture" design warranty fix. It was just brought to
my attention just today from a fellow rv.netter --
thank you SO much IAMICHABOD. I have 6 months
of a 10 yr time limit window to get free
replacement/redesigned stuff. I looked into this in
back '05, and they told me "you have no problem."
The special warranty coverage was issued in a
document ID#1976266 in '07, but I never knew of it.
Our VIN is included -- looks like all short Express 2500
and 3500 from '03-06 are too. As I have researched TSB and NHTSA all day, seems we have experienced all the symptoms of groaning left turn in parking lot, terrible vibration downhill w/ brakes applied, and a
loose tierod nut on passenger side (separate NHTSA
referenced problem) requiring an early alignment.
Have a feeling 1st dealer is avoiding and not retrning
a call - too little profit, I figure. (Same dealer that
happily overcharged me $675 for a rebuilt started
after 32000 mi, but had it been warranty, I bet they
would only gotten $350.
Always somethin'!
