Hello, Retirement is closing in fast. We have been towing a 22'TT with a Dodge Cummins. The 'dream' has been to go to a diesel class c approx 24?+' and towing a Subaru Forester, own one with manuel 5 speed. We have seen the Mercedes with 2 slides, bed out the back and another slide on the side. Saw one towing a Forester.....looked like a good set up. The owner 'love it, never a problem with hills, great MPG even towing'. Most diesel C's are large, too large for our liking.The idea is to keep the MH on our little lot as well as have better fuel economy. We plan on wandering the U.S. for a while and possibly settle in a more rural area.Any and all input is greatly appreciated. i.e. other options etc.thanks much

look at these leisure travel van. ours is a 2007 5cyc M B diesel and its great ,kid pulls her dog trailer golf cart and loaded with equipt ,pulls just fine. we,ve stead up to two months at a time in it and were still married.

Dynamax just came out with their Isata 3 which is a small class C on a Mercedes chassis.

We own what you described. A 25' Navion with two slides. The queen bed in the rear is perfect for us and the other slide gives you good living space and a double fold out bed. (The air mattress isn't bad) Ours is a 2013 Navion iQG made by Winnebago and with the diesel we could tow but prefer not to at this point. We can unhook in 10 minutes and drive it anywhere.

God bless you diesel folks. Did one and never would do it again. I will say it was a 6.0 Ford diesel. Like the first ones produced. It was so expensive to keep going for the first 60k miles. After that it was a great puller for my TT.My experience is they are costly to keep running. I know “other brands” are different. But if something goes wrong. There is a bunch of money involved to get it right.
