Dingy Towing Equipment

I would look at the Roadmaster Falcon towbar and their break setup. Wire the power to the battery direct to the battery so it stays connected when disconnecting main battery negative

I have used the Blue Ox tow equipment and Brake Buddy for years. Easy to use and excellent service.

Blue Ox is top shelf. Would have no problem recommending it. We use the BlueOx Brake Buddy system

I have a Blue Ox base plate on a Honda CRV. Nearly invisible which is what I wanted. Easy driveway install. Found it on Amazon and with prime shipping the price was a few dollars less than other mail order store fronts.

For a tow bar I use Ready Brute Elite. Wanted brakes on the tow. Figure if I could add 3000 pounds to the coach and not increase the stoping distance that would be a good thing. The tow bar has worked flawlessly for five year of intermittent use. Plus it cost less than buying a bar and a separate brake system. What I like most is the system does not require external power. Car pushes on the coach, bar reacts and pulls the brake pedal. The harder the car pushes the more the bar pulls on the brakes.

Blue Ox all around. Toad is wired to run off the coach, tail lights and a added 12v cig plug for the Patriot.
I will most likely go to Air Force 1 someday to replace the Patriot.

blue Ox is the only way to go. I've used them for almost 35 years. As a company they stand by their equipment like no others I've run into while rv'ing. They have repaired and replaced parts at no charge except for shipping to the factory. Good American Made company and product.

We use a Blue Ox base plate with our ReadyBrute Elite combination tow bar and brake system. Both are excellent quality equipment.

We've got the blue ox alpha tow bar and the blue ox base plate that we use on our Honda CRV. It works great, easy to hitch and unhitch, and virtually invisible when we unhook to drive off.

We've also got the Roadmaster Invisibrake. We chose that braking system because you don't have to hook up any equipment when you get ready to tow. But, it only worked for a few months after we had it installed earlier this year. Now the unit makes noise when the brakes should be applied, but it doesn't pull the brake pedal down. Roadmaster gave me some diagnostic advice, and suggested it is probably a kink in the hose that runs from the controller to the cylinder that operates the brake cable, so I've got to remove some panels and lift the carpet in the floor of the toad to find the issue. If I had it to do over, I probably would have chosen a different braking system.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is what we have. We have been using this setup since 2010. If doing it over today, I would do exactly the same.

Another Ready Brute vote simple, works great and you will save hundreds.
I use Demco base plates.
