From day one of owning an RV we have always stored it at a storage lot.

In addition, at our home, we have security cameras, alarm system (will call our cellphone), signs, ask neighbors to keep an eye out for newspapers/flyers, random lights inside and dusk to dawn lights outside for security when we are gone.
