I am not defending Cummins nor blaming the OP. what I am doing is saying there there is a lot more to the story than we have heard.
And from my experiences, generally people who have spent that much money on something are or were professional people who have not a clue as to proper care and feeding of mechanical devices. That motor is a million mile motor. So for it to have that much damage in only 80 thousand miles something had to happen. Maybe it was a bad motor? But in that case it should have shown up within the first year of operation, not 11 years later. No, I still suspect ignorance or neglect of some sort as the root cause of the OP's problems.
